Jakarta, IO – Police officially named Siti Elina, the woman who carried gun and tried to enter the palace compound, and her husband Bahrul Ulum as suspects. This was confirmed by Densus 88 counter-terrorism squad operations assistance head Chief Commissioner Aswin Siregar to Detik, Thursday, (27/10).
Aswin said the decision was made after both of them were questioned by police investigators. “At first, the police quizzed the husband for information about his wife. But investigators then learned about his activities. After profiling, it was found that he was a sympathizer of a terror group. He has even pledged allegiance,” he explained.
Siti Eliana was charged with articles on acts of terrorism, illegal possession of firearms and physical and psychological coercive action.
