Jakarta, IO – President Joko Widodo is scheduled to meet leaders of the two warring countries, Russian President Vladimir Putin and Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky. The meetings will take place in Moscow and Kiev.
“The visit will take place after Jokowi attends the G7 Summit on June 26-27,” said Indonesian Foreign Minister Retno Marsudi in a press briefing reported by Detik, Wednesday (22/6).
Retno said Jokowi’s visit shows Indonesia’s contribution to resolve the multitude of highly complex situations caused by the war between Russia and Ukraine. Retno said Jokowi will be the first Asian leader to visit Russia and Ukraine.
