Jakarta, IO – Health Ministry announced that it has yet able to confirm whether a patient in Central Java is infected with monkeypox.
“To be 100 percent sure, we need to conduct a PCR test on the suspect,” said Health Ministry spokesperson Dr Mohammad Syahril as reported by Antara on Wednesday (3/8).
Syahril, who is also the director of infectious diseases hospital RSPI Sulianti Saroso in Jakarta, said the patient was identified as a 55-year-old man with no history of foreign travel.
