National Vote Recapitulation: Prabowo-Gibran Wins by 58.48% in 31 Provinces

Jakarta, IO – The General Elections Commission (KPU) is still tallying the national votes of the 2024 elections which has been carried out in stages from February 15 to March 20 across 33 provinces.

The results show that presidential pair No 2, Prabowo Subianto and Gibran Rakabuming Raka, won by a large margin in 31 provinces by securing 76,888,902 votes (58.48 percent of the total legitimate votes), per Kompas, Sun (17/3).

At the second place is pair No 1, Anies Baswedan and Muhaimin Iskandar, with 31,118,384 votes (23.67 percent). Coming last is pair 3, Ganjar Pranowo and Mahfud MD, with 23,460,714 votes (17.85 percent).

According to KPU Regulation 3/2022, following the national recapitulation, the election results will be determined no later than three days after the Constitutional Court (MK) is notified.

While the stated deadline is March 20, KPU said the final results may be announced today if vote counting in five provinces and polling stations in one foreign country has been ratified by the Overseas Election Committee (PPLN).

The other five provinces where vote counting is still ongoing are West Java, Maluku, Papua, Southwest Papua and Papua Highlands. (un)
