Jakarta, IO – Workers stacked up packages to be loaded into expedition trucks in Tanah Abang Market, Central Jakarta (16/3). During the month of Ramadan, goods delivery services to a number of areas in Sulawesi, Sumatra, Kalimantan and Papua are seeing a jump in demand due to the large number of traders from various regions shopping for Eid merchandise.
A number of porters were seen delivering packages to the congregating spot for expedition trucks. The piles of packages were collected to be taken to a large expedition warehouse and sent to a number of areas via Tanjung Priok Port.

Andri, 38, a delivery worker, said the increase in delivery orders has been observed since the last few days. According to him, the rate has increased by fifty percent from normal days of only two to three trucks per day. Now the expedition can send packages up to six trucks in one trip.
