Jakarta, IO – The Witness and Victim Protection Agency (LPSK) rejected the witness protection application by Ferdy Sambo’s wife Putri Candrawathi.

LPSK chief Hasto Atmojo Suroyo said the reason was due to irregularities in the application. According to him, LPSK received two applications from Putri with different contents in the report.

“From the beginning there were irregularities in her applications. She submitted two applications, one dated July 8 and another one based on police report submitted by the South Jakarta Police on July 9,” said Hasto, as reported by Okezone, Tuesday (16/8).

Further complicating matters, LPSK has encountered difficulty in obtaining Putri’s statement when it conducted an assessment.

“Thus, LPSK has decided to refuse or stop the assessment because Ms. P doesn’t qualify for LPSK protection,” said Hasto.

In addition, Hasto pointed to the fact that the National Police’s Criminal Investigation Division (Bareskrim) has discontinued an investigation into alleged sexual assault and attempted murder that were given as the original motive for the killing of Brigadier J at the official residence of ex-police internal affairs chief Ferdy Sambo. The two cases served as the basis for Putri’s application for LPSK protection. (un)
