Including to build IKN, this is Indonesia’s infrastructure budget for 2023

Jakarta, IO – Finance Minister Sri Mulyani Indrawati announced the budget estimation for Indonesia’s infrastructure spending in 2023 in a hearing with the House Budget Committee on Tuesday (31/5). Sri put it between Rp367.7 trillion to Rp417.7 trillion, higher than infrastructure spending in 2020 and 2021, namely Rp406.1 trillion and Rp365.8 trillion, respectively.

She also said that the budget for the construction of Nusantara Capital City (IKN) in East Kalimantan would also be included in the budget, but she did not specify the precise amount for this mega project.

“In 2022 we have started to build IKN and of course in 2023 it will be accelerated. This is included in state spending, especially for capital expenditure and infrastructure spending,” Sri Mulyani was quoted as saying by Antara, Tuesday (31/5).
