Jakarta, IO – Presidential Chief of Staff Moeldoko condemned the actions of the armed criminal group (KKB) on Saturday (16/7). The KKB again carried out attacks on civilians, which killed eleven people, including religious leaders in Nduga regency, Papua.

“KKB has committed cruelty repeatedly in Papua with indiscriminate targets. I saw terrorist and bandit behavior there,” said Moeldoko sternly, Antara reported on Friday (22/7).

“KKB is afraid of the development in Papua for fear of losing its influence. This is ironic, the government is working hard to improve the welfare of Papuan people, but KKB is committing acts of cruelty against innocent people.”

Moeldoko noted that from March 2010 to March 2022, KKB had committed 226 acts of violence, including murder and arson of government buildings, schools, and residents’ houses to spread terror in the community.
