Jakarta, IO – The Education Department (Disdik) of Depok City will require elementary and high school students to wear traditional costume as the uniforms starting in the new academic year. This policy was announced by the department head Siti Chaerijah, per Detikcom, Thu (18/4).
Siti explained that the new regulations refer to Education Ministerial Regulation 50/2022 which stipulates three types of school uniforms.
“Article 3 states that there are national uniforms, scout uniforms and traditional clothing,” he explained.

Meanwhile, Article 10 contains rules for implementing traditional clothing that students wear on certain traditional events. Meanwhile, students wear national uniforms at least every Monday and Thursday and on the day of the flag-hoisting ceremony. (un)
