CPO export corruption case, AGO investigates gift to Trade Ministry officials

Jakarta, IO – The Attorney General’s Office (Kejagung) is investigating allegation of bribery involving boxes of cooking oil gifted by exporters to Trade Ministry’s international trade director general Indrasari Wisnu Wardhana.

“The prosecutors are still investigating the allegation [of delivery of boxes of cooking oil],” said AGO’s junior attorney for special crimes (Jampidsus) Febrie Adriansyah, a reported by Tempo on Thursday (2/6).

However, Febrie did not reveal further who the bribe takers are or the companies that gave the bribe.

“As the investigators are still working on the case, I don’t want to get ahead of them because I fear it may affect the ongoing investigation in the field,” he said. In addition, Febrie revealed AGO is working with the Financial Transaction Reports and Analysis Center (PPATK) in the investigation.
