Jakarta, IO – Police named two Uzbek citizens as suspects in the fatal assault of an immigration officer in North Jakarta.
North Jakarta Class I Immigration officer died after being attacked by OMM alias IM (28) and MR (26). The attack took place when they were arrested on suspicion of terrorism along with two of their compatriots BA alias JF (32) and BKA (40), reported Detik, Thursday (13/4).
Police Densus 88 Anti-terror squad spokesperson Aswin Siregar said the two suspects will be charged over the murder of an immigration officer.
Densus 88 previously arrested four Uzbek citizens for carrying out terrorism propaganda on social media. When they were detained, three of them attacked immigration officials and managed to escape.

Two were later rearrested, while the one named BA was found dead in a river bank, allegedly by suicide.
“One person was found dead in Kali Sunter after he presumably jumped into the river and drowned. His body was taken to Kramat Jati Police Hospital for an autopsy,” said Aswin. (un)
