Jakarta, IO – The 2023 Tomohon International Flower Festival (TIFF) officially opened on Tuesday (8/8). One of Indonesia’s biggest national events was inaugurated by Tourism and Creative Economy (Parekraf) Minister Sandiaga Uno.
According to Sandiaga, the event is expected to draw 300,000 visitors, making the city a global destination, per Kumparan, Wednesday (9/8).
“Congratulations to Tomohon City and let’s continue to increase domestic and foreign tourists,” said Sandiaga.

TIFF 2023, which will run until August 12, involves thousands of local flower growers. All flowers used in the festival are also sourced locally.
The festival started in 2008 to introduce Tomohon’s unique culture and food. The festival will culminate with the parade of colourful flowery floats. (un)
