Jakarta, IO – The Directorate General of Immigration deported two South Korean producers of the reality show “Pick Me Trip in Bali”, Saturday (27/04).

They are identified as YJC (male, 49) and NJ (female, 33). They were repatriated from I Gusti Ngurah Rai International Airport because they allegedly abused their stay permits, per Bisnis, Tue (30/4).

Ngurah Rai Immigration Office head Suhendra said the step was taken based on an examination carried out by the Immigration Intelligence and Enforcement Division (Inteldakim).

Suhendra said that YJC and NJ were proven to have committed immigration violations and did not have proper film production permits by foreigners. They previously submitted an application for permission to make a film/video to the Indonesian Embassy in Seoul (KBRI Seoul) which then provided recommendations regarding the application along with several requirements. However, they did not contact KBRI Seoul again.

The authorities then received information that the crew and artists were already in Indonesia on April 21 to shoot a film without following the recommendations given by KBRI Seoul.

Therefore, KBRI Seoul coordinated with the Directorate General of Culture, through the director of film, music and media, and forwarded the information to the Ngurah Rai Immigration Office.

Ngurah Rai Immigration had previously examined 31 South Korean citizens and one Indonesian citizen in connection with the filming for the reality show program. Fifteen South Korean citizens and one Indonesian citizen flew back to South Korea on Friday (26/04) while the other 14 returned on Saturday (27/04).

They include Korean idols Hyoyeon from Girl’s Generation, Dita Karang from Secret Number and Bomi Yoon from Apink.

“As far as film production visa is concerned, the Directorate General of Immigration has issued a visa policy for C13 (single entry) and D14 (multiple entry) which can be requested online via evisa.imigration.go.id,” he said. (un)
