Jakarta, IO – The Duta Anak Nusantara event was held with the sincere intention to discover and cultivate the talent of Indonesian children and educate them, and is expected to work as an assembly to develop smart, brave and talented children to optimize their potential on a national and international level. Ovie Wu, a former model and founder of Ov Modeling School; Intan Qosasih, Co-founder of Modeling Agency Clemira; and Indah Warsetio, CEO of Media Agency Versihub and Personal Branding coach, are behind this genuine intention.

The Duta Anak Nusantara event hosted three main activities: Fashion Shows and Competitions to channel children’s talent and courage; various Skills Workshops that teach children public speaking, time management, self-confidence and personal character, for creating age-appropriate content videos; and Edu-Cultural, which teaches students about Indonesia’s diverse cultures as well as traditional Indonesian dances.

According to Indah, the Duta Anak Nusantara event aims to nurture skills of children aged 4 to 16, as children’s talents are usually discovered during this age range. “We need a proper platform to find and channel their passion, from early on.”

▪︎ Best talent performance
This talent scouting event encourages children to be able to self-appreciate, push themselves and produce spectacular results, and keep trying to face challenges, to become extraordinary people.

▪︎ Growing ability to compete
Duta Anak Nusantara will regularly conduct children’s competition programs to instill sportsmanship and responsibility, preparing children for life in the future. As mentioned by Ovie Wu, mentor and MC of the event, “It will definitely enrich children’s experience and teach valuable lessons to develop their self-confidence.”

▪︎ Joyful and inspirational occasion for children
The event, which was held on August 5, 2023, was supported by Lippo Mall Puri, West Jakarta, and unexpectedly attracted children’s attention. “Children are very interested in the event, as we provide so many interactive learning activities, from fairy tales, magic, fashion shows and edutainment,” added Indah.

Indah was grateful to the event’s supporters, including magician Enzo from Indonesia’s Got Talent, Tarot Reader Mr. Gandhi, children’s storyteller Kak Bram from Indonesia’s Got Talent, and a fashion show by Ov Modeling School. “Aliyah Maharani Putri Sidik is teaching a traditional dancing class soon,” said Indah.

Given the fact that the event garnered children’s strong interest, the mentors decided to provide licenses and welcome other parties from different cities to organize a similar event. “We wish to expand the event to other regions in Indonesia and harness Indonesian children’s special talents, to open international opportunities,” said Intan Qosasih.

Indah and other mentors hope to encourage Indonesian children to express themselves and demonstrate their skills. “We support Indonesian children to be empowered and competent in the field they are interested in, and this event will contribute to their future achievements,” Indah concluded. (des)
