Jakarta, IO – Prabowo Subianto, presidential candidate No 2, said the quick count results which showed a one-round victory for him and Gibran are reason to be grateful but urged his supporters to remain humble and wait for the official results from the General Elections Commission (KPU).
“We must not be arrogant; we must not be euphoric; we have to remain humble. This victory is the victory for all the Indonesian people,” he said at Istora Senayan, Jakarta, Wednesday (14/2).
“My brothers and sisters, we must continue to wait for KPU official results. We believe that Indonesian democracy is running well.”
Prabowo said he, Gibran and the Onward Indonesia Coalition (KIM) would embrace all forces and societal elements to seek collaboration in building the country.
Prabowo was also grateful for the cooperation of all parties that enable the election to run peacefully and orderly.

“We are grateful that the biggest general election in the world was able to be conducted in a safe and orderly manner, with no tension or chaos throughout our beloved archipelago. Therefore, on behalf of the Prabowo-Gibran national campaign team and KIM, we would like to thank KPU personnel at all levels, including Bawaslu [Elections Supervisory Agency] for the smooth and successfully elections,” he added.
Prabowo also thanked national figures who supported him and those who are closest to him. Prabowo also saluted the sixth president of Indonesia Susilo Bambang Yudhoyono who was willing to walk for 7 kilometres to attend his last public rally at Gelora Bung Karno stadium.
