Jakarta, IO – The Koja Trade Mall shopping center, North Jakarta received a bomb threat or terror from ananymous callers on Thursday (2/11).
The management of the mall immediately reported the threat to the authorities. In response, a number of police personnel were deployed to the location to conduct a search, per CNNIndonesia, Friday (3/11).
After a thorough search was concluded, North Jakarta Police Chief Commissioner Gidion Arif Setyawan confirmed that there were no bombs found in the building. But police arrested a number of high school students who issued the threat.

Gidion explained that the students pretended to be Noordin M Top, Southeast Asia’s most wanted terrorist who was responsible for various acts of terror in Indonesia several years ago.
After being questioned, they said it was just a mischievous prank they thought up “for fun”. Further investigation to where the students live found that they were just normal kids with no connection to terrorist activity. (un)
