Jakarta, IO – PDI-P central executive board chairman Bambang Wuryanto stated that Central Java Governor Ganjar Pranowo would not win many votes in the province he is leading if he runs as the presidential nominee of other parties.
“Let’s suppose Pak Ganjar Pranowo is not nominated by PDI-P, he doesn’t get PDI-P recommendation, then he is nominated by another party, I can assure you that he will get not more than 30 percent of votes in Central Java. If he can manage to get 30 percent that’s an achievement in itself. He will get bulldozed,” Bambang was quoted as saying by Tempo, Wednesday (13/7).
Bambang said Central Java is one of the PDI-P’s vote banks that determined President Joko Widodo’s victory in the previous two elections.
According to Bambang, popularly known as Bambang Pacul, the influence of PDI-P is very strong in Central Java. He assured that whoever candidate PDI-P nominates would win Central Java in the 2024 presidential election.
