“The Republic of Indonesia is now 77 years old. Not every country can make it this far. The Soviet Union, West Germany, East Germany, Baltic countries were dissolved before they had their 77th anniversary. Many countries are no longer on the map,” said Muzani.
Muzani stressed that it is not easy to maintain a country that is as diverse as Indonesia with many ethnicities, languages, cultures and religions, but the founding fathers succeeded and agreed that Indonesia’s strength lies in its diversity.
“Look at those sitting here. We have Malays, Batak, Dayaknese, Bugis, Javanese and many others. That means Gerindra Party is committed to being a political force that unites the nation for greater Indonesia. Differences and diversity are values. Gerindra Party’s political values necessitate us to be strong, within Bhineka Tunggal Ika,” explained the House Deputy Speaker.
