Jakarta, IO – Miss Universe Indonesia 2023 finalist of South Kalimantan, Sheren Simamora, revealed that she was subjected to nude body examination during the final via her Instagram account @sherensimamoraa, reported Wolipop, Monday (7/8).
“I went in for a body check and was told to turn around (without being photographed). She said, several parts of my body had stretch marks. I already knew, then I had varicose veins on my right leg. That was all recorded in a book by LO’s older sister,” Sheren wrote about the process she went through ahead of the grand final.
“We were told to undress because after the body check, we were fitting for evening gown,” added one of the top 15 finalist.
When she questioned the men in the same room, she was told that they were designers and assistants who would help fit the dress.
Previously, the scandal regarding the request for naked photos during a body check went viral after an Instagram Story upload by Miss Universe Indonesia from Bali official Sally Giovanny.

In her upload, Sally, who is also the owner of Trusmi batik, uploaded a screenshot of her WhatsApp conversation with Miss Universe Indonesia West Java official Rizky Ananda Musa.
Due to disappointment, they decided to resign from their respective roles, along with three other Miss Universe Indonesia officials, Miss Universe Indonesia CEO Eldwen Wang, Visual Director who is also celebrity photographer Rio Motret, and Beauty Director Slam Wiyono. (at)
