Jakarta, IO – President Joko “Jokowi” Widodo issued Presidential Decree (Keppres) 10/2024 on the designation of 2024 elections polling day as a public holiday which will fall on Wednesday, February 14.
This decision will allow as many people as possible to cast their votes and participate in the the once-in-five-year festival of democracy to elect the next national leader and representatives. It also aims to ensure a high turnout rate.

The date was decided by the General Elections Commission (KPU) based on its Regulation 3/2022 on stages and schedule for the 2024 General Election. (rr)
