Jokowi administration completes hundreds of national strategic projects between 2016-23

Jakarta, IO – In total, the national strategic projects (PSNs) are worth Rp1,515.4 trillion. Coordinating Economic Ministry’s deputy for coordination of regional development and spatial planning Wahyu Utomo said the 109 projects consist of 10 PSNs in 2017, 32 in 2018, 30 in 2019, 20 in 2020, 24 in 2021, 25 in 2022 and 37 in 2023, per CNN Indonesia, Thu (8/2).

Last year there were seven dams, three seaports, three airports, five landports, five toll roads, four industrial estates, five railway projects, one energy project, one education project, one technology project, and two power plants.

“Apart from that, there are also infrastructure projects that have been partially completed and those that are already under construction,” said Wahyu.

As for 2024, 42 projects are targeted for completion, consisting of 32 projects by October and 10 by the end of the year.

The projects include the New Ambon Port, the Jakarta-Surabaya Semi-HSR, industrial estates and expressways. The government is working to hasten infrastructure development in many regions to boost national economic growth and spur local economy. (un)
