Jakarta, IO – Defense Minister Prabowo Subianto, in a working visit to Vietnam on Saturday (14/5), paid homage to Ho Chi Minh Mausoleum, the resting place of Vietnam’s independence proclaimer and first president.

According to a statement from the Indonesian Ministry of Defense’s public relations office on Monday (16/5), Prabowo was treated as a state guest of Vietnam during his visit to the mausoleum. Prabowo went straight to President Ho Chi Minh’s grave, placed a wreath, and paid his respects.

“President Ho Chi Minh is an inspiration and a role model for all freedom-loving people in the world. He is a great hero in the struggle against colonialism, imperialism and injustice,” Prabowo wrote in a guest book at President Ho Chi Minh’s office.
