Jakarta, IO – Thom Haye and Ragnar Oratmangoen’s debut with the Indonesian national team (Timnas) is just hours away. They have the opportunity to play against Vietnam from the kickoff.

Timnas will play Vietnam in the fourth match of Group F of the second round of the 2026 World Cup Qualification Asia Zone at My Dinh Stadium, Hanoi, Tuesday (26/3).

“Our preparations have been very good even though we experienced several problems last week. Overall, I am in a very good condition,” said Thom Haye, per PSSI.org, Tuesday (26/3).

In tonight’s match, Timnas will not be strengthened by Marc Klok due to injury, while Sandy Walsh has accumulated a yellow card. Meanwhile, Ivar Jenner, Dimas Drajad, Nadeo Argawinata and Pratama Arhan cannot play because they were sick.

“Yeah, as I said, it’s a bit difficult because we don’t have the whole team together, but we are still upbeat,” said Thom Haye, who played with the Dutch’s Eredivisie club SC Heerenveen. “We had some good training sessions, so I think we are well prepared.”

Thom Haye tried to analyze the previous match when Indonesia beat Vietnam by 1-0 on the third matchday of Group F 2026 World Cup Qualification at the Gelora Bung Karno Main Stadium, Jakarta (21/3).

“I think as you saw in the first game, it was a tough game. I think Vietnam can also play very rough. So I think it’s important for us to bring the same intensity as them and play tactically,” he said. (rr)
