Jakarta, IO – Vice President Ma’ruf Amin revealed that Sports and Youth Minister Zainudin Amali met him personally to bid farewell before his working visit to Mamuju, West Sulawesi, Thursday (23/2).
“He conveyed to me that he wants to focus on football, to resolves issues facing Indonesian football scene,” Ma’ruf said, reported Republika, Friday (24/2).
Zainudin had been elected Deputy Chair of the Indonesian Football Association (PSSI).
Ma’ruf believes Zainudin’s resignation is an appropriate step. As PSSI deputy chair, Zainudin will be involved in implementing the National Sports Grand Design (DBON).

“He told me that he, together with PSSI chair wanted to bring changes to Indonesian football as there has yet been no significant progress so far,” said Ma’ruf. (at)
