Ruth warmly greeted fans from the front to back seats who enjoyed her performance. “It’s great to have you all tonight and sing with me. Once again, I’d like to take a moment to thank you for sharing the celebration and New Year’s Eve. Thank you, Grand Sahid Jaya, and thank you all,” said Ruth Sahanaya to the audience’s applause.
“We know that the past two years had been hard times for all, but we thank God and keep praying for Indonesia to continue to move forward,” added Uthe, Jeffrey Waworuntu’s wife.
The song “Keliru” warmed up the audience towards the New Year’s countdown when Uthe asked everyone to sing and blend into the joyous atmosphere.

The New Year’s trumpet blow enlivened the New Year’s countdown when the second session started and presented 80s and 90s hits from other Indonesian prominent singers: “Sakura”, “Juwita”, “Serasa”, “Galih dan Ratna”, “Mahadaya Cinta”, and medleyed disco tunes of “C.H.R.I.S.Y.E”, “Gelora”, “Asmara”, and “Harapan Tak Berpisah”.
Some audience members were allowed to come to the front of the stage to closely watch Ruth Sahanaya’s performance, where she successfully maintained her vocal range from the beginning to the end of the concert. (des)
