Jakarta, IO – Jakarta will soon be bustling with the long-awaited Anime Festival Asia (AFA) Indonesia after a five-year hiatus. Scheduled for May 3-5, 2024, the event will be held at the Jakarta Convention Center in Senayan, Jakarta, with a promise of an exciting and immersive experience for Anime Comics Game (ACG) enthusiasts.
The festival has also unveiled the event’s main visual, a captivating creation from renowned Japanese illustrator LAM (character designer for Hololive Indonesia member Kureiji Ollie and many more!)
In the Anime Festival Indonesia 2024, the leading Japanese entertainment promoter in Southeast Asia and owner of Anime Festival Asia – SOZO, is collaborating with PK Entertainment, a prominent promoter and creative agency in Indonesia. To celebrate the excitement of the festival’s return, the event will feature various happenings over the course of two days.
With an exhibition area of more than 11,000 sq m, attendees can look forward to countless events on the Day Stage, including anime exhibitions, talk shows and many more, which will allow visitors to delve deeper into the world of Japanese pop culture. The Festival will also host hundreds of exhibitors, featuring major intellectual property (IP) players, creators, cosplayers and more, offering fans a unique opportunity and closer look at the latest trends, merchandise and arts in ACG.
To enliven the event, the Akiba Stage will feature international, local and regional artists, in addition to other brand exhibitions. This segment promises a dynamic mix of music and entertainment, catering to the diverse tastes of ACG communities.
Renowned international cosplayer HAKKEN will be holding his highly anticipated “Fan Meet World Tour in Indonesia” at AFA Indonesia. Popular cosplay guests, such as Clarissa Punipun, Thames Malerose, and Byoru, will also show up to dazzle the fans.
Attendees can look forward to phenomenal performers of JPOP and Anisong (Anime song) artists who will be performing on the Concert Stage! On Saturday, I LOVE ANISONG will make its elated return with Liyuu, NANO, Ayaka Ohashi and many more!

On Sunday, SACRA MUSIC FES will hold the stage with ASCA, ClariS, Sangatsu no Phantasia, Shuka Saito and Who-ya Extended performances, sponsored by Crunchyroll.
