Jakarta, IO – December 2022 is coming to an end. How was your year? How many of your New Year Resolutions did you achieve?

Are you getting ready to make a new Resolution?

If so, you’re not alone. Indonesian singer Ruth “Uthe” Sahanaya shared with us her Resolution for 2023: “If you should ask me my career Resolution for 2023, of course I really want, with the grace of God, to hold a solo concert,” she said when interviewed in a venue in Sudirman, Central Jakarta. “Let’s hope we can get to it, because organizing a solo concert is far from being easy – it takes a lot of time, effort, and money.”

Notwithstanding the difficulties in achieving her wish, Uthe is grateful that her career in the Homeland music industry has remained viable for the past 36 years. She is especially happy with the fact that “…many of today’s youngsters continue to sing my songs. It’s one way for me to survive, in the end, because all these generations can still hear me sing, can still enjoy my songs,” she said. “That’s one of the things that I am grateful for, as well as something that has kept me going over the years.”

However, all is not lost. Uthe can still end the year with a concert in the upcoming New Year’s Eve – “A Dazzling Night with Ruth Sahanaya” – at the Puri Agung Convention Center. All VVIP, VIP, and Platinum seats are sold out, but you can check out information about the remaining tickets in Sahid Jaya’s social media pages.
