Ponorogo Culture, Tourism, Youth and Sports Agency head Judha Slamet Sarwo Edi added that besides a 126-meter tall Reog statue, a museum will also be built in the 5-hectare area, located under the podium where the statue stands.
“The museum will exhibit a collection of civilizations, from prehistory, classics, colonialism, revolution, reformasi, to the present day. Starting from historical objects that have a common link with the history of Ponorogo,” said Judha.
In the future, tourism support facilities will also be built, such as a glamping area and an education center that explains the limestone quarrying process. Judha said the monument is capable of accommodating 2,082 visitors. (rr)
