Royal Thai Air Force admires Indonesia’s aircraft collection at TNI AU Museum

Jakarta, IO – A delegation from the Royal Thai Air Force (RTAF) visited the Dirgantara Mandala central museum of the Indonesian Air Force (TNI AU) on the sidelines of the Subject Matter Expert Exchange (SMEE) on T50 aircraft between RTAF and TNI AU in Yogyakarta, Wednesday (1/3).

The visit was led by Group Captain Piyasak Sumettikon and warmly welcomed by the museum director Col. Sus Yuto Nugroho.

RTAF was given explanations about the various types of aircrafts in the collection, consisting of those that had been used by TNI AU, legacy model and indigenous production.

“They admired our collections, especially the aircrafts,” Yuto told Observerid.com, Wednesday (1/3).

The visit also aims to strengthen the ties between the two countries, especially military knowledge exchange.

“We can learn about the history of Indonesia Air Force and the complete collection of aircrafts that are on display in this vast museum,” said Piyasak. (un)
