Jakarta, IO – PT. Kereta Cepat Indonesia-China (KCIC), the operator of Jakarta-Bandung High Speed Railway (HSR), popularly known as Whoosh, will start using a different ticketing price scheme.
The so-called dynamic pricing will see the fare offered at two points, i.e. Rp150,000 and Rp250,000, effective from February 3, 2024, per Tempo, Monday (29/1).
KCIC corporate secretary Eva Chairunisa explained that this will allow passengers to get Whoosh tickets at a more economical price when traveling at certain hours.
“In one day there will be several different rates for Whoosh trips,” said Eva.

Eva said a number of factors will influence the price, including peak/off peak hours, travel season, as well as days of the week. For instance, during peak/rush hours, the prices will be higher.
This way, Eva said passengers can select trips according to their specific needs. “Dynamic pricing will provide added value for passengers. It is hoped that the price flexibility will benefit the passengers,” said Eva. (un)
