IO, Jakarta – The views of Gerindra Party are much anticipated by the public, because the certainty of Gerindra joining the government coalition or joining the PKS into opposition has not been formally announced. That said, the Gerindra National Leadership Meeting (Rapimnas) which took place Wednesday (10/16/2019) at Padepokan Garuda Yaksa, Bojong Koneng Village, , Bogor, West Java, became the Party’s momentum to express its political views.
At the rapimnas which was attended by four thousand Gerindra cadres from all over Indonesia, the the General Chairman of the Gerindra Party Prabowo Subianto finally expressed 3 political views.
In his first political view, Prabowo submitted a conception related to Indonesia’s huge economic drive with a strong spirit of food and energy sufficiency, defense, and security.
In the second political view, Prabowo will allow it if Jokowi wishes to make use of the above conception, either together with Gerindra and Prabowo or alone. “What is certain, Pak Prabowo is ready to work together for the interests of the Republic of Indonesia,” said Gerindra spokesman Dahnil Anzar Simajuntak.
In the third political view, Prabowo decided to continue to maintain friendship and communication for consensus agreement in the interests of the nation and state. “So Pak Prabowo conveyed the three political views,” Dahnil said.
Regarding joining the coalition, Dahnil rejected the term. Because he said the term used by Prabowo was not joining the coalition but willingness to work when the state calls. “Because for Pak Prabowo, patriotism is important, so everything is in the interests of the nation and state,” he explained
According to him, helping the country both outside and inside the government depends on Jokowi’s decisions, because Jokowi is the leader of the country from today until 2024. “What is clear is that we have conveyed our concept. That is the most important thing. Of course, it’s up to Pak Jokowi and the government for the next five years,” he concluded.
As is known, after Prabowo met with Joko Widodo at the State Palace last week, which was followed by a meeting with the Chairman of NasDem, PKB, and Golkar parties, it would be even faster if Gerindra moved closer to the government. However, from a number of these meetings, Prabowo said he only wanted to give a big idea to save Indonesia.
“In the rapimnas, the general direction of the Gerindra Party’s political stance was presented by Chairman Prabowo Subianto. The technical guidelines for the short and long-term activities of Gerindra Party 2019-2024 were delivered by the Deputy Chairman and the conclusion of Rapimnas by the Secretary-General,” said Gerindra Deputy Chairman Gerfra Dasco Ahmad.
Besides being attended by thousands of Gerindra cadres and officials, political observer Rocky Gerung was also present. (dan)
