2023 marks the 70th Anniversary of the Australian scholarship program in Indonesia. To celebrate, FSAI 2023 will also include a range of exclusive events for Australian Alumni, including special screenings and networking events.

“What’s special is that FSAI this time is also to celebrate 70 years of Australian scholarships for Indonesia. We invite our 200 thousand alumni to join us in celebrating FSAI,” said Penny.

70 years of the program has brought Indonesia-Australia relations closer. This is a lifelong friendship. “Alumni have strong ties, consisting of aspiring leaders to creative industry players such as film.”

Penny believes this festival can provide a worthwhile addition for Indonesian-Australian film collaboration. “Film is one of the most important industries in Australia. By 2021 it will generate $1.4 billion.”

The Minister of Tourism and Creative Economy, Sandiaga Salahudin Uno, welcomed the return of this Festival. “We welcome it, this is the 8th year and we are celebrating the eighth anniversary of FSAI. I commend the Australian Ambassador,” said Sandiaga Salahuddin Uno.
