Jakarta, IO – The Government has declared Indonesia a 2024 world fashion center as the country continues to grow talented young designers and emerging fashion industries. The positive growth of the fashion industry provides Muslim fashion designers with a perfect opportunity to design and make halal fashion products to meet the growing needs of local and international markets.
Indonesia Modest Fashion, in collaboration with Sarinah Department Store, is holding the 2023 Royal Raya Runway to celebrate the 1444 H Eid al-Fitr. The event takes place at Sarinah Department Store, Thamrin, Jakarta, from March 16 to May 2, 2023, and is also enlivened by several activities, including fashion charity, a bazaar, and fashion shows.
“The Royal Raya Runway is here to support the country’s fashion industry in creating modest, functional, and exclusive fashion trends by benefiting our present and future cultural wisdom,” stated Jeny Tjahyawati, Chairperson of Indonesia Modest Fashion Designer, on Saturday, (4/1/2023).
This event is held for the first time and features local and international designers’ collections, including Jeny Tjahyawati, Dekranasda of Batubara Regency, Tuty Cholid, Sikie Purnomo, Lia Afif, Bagus Boutique, Wina Sadikin, Fia Prasetyahadi, Novitasari, HSR by Hirman Shah Reza, Cerena.Id, Izkha by Apip Alindilah, and International Designer Sarawak Malaysia “Bonang x Harizank.”
The Independent Observer had the opportunity to see Hurremfia’s designs for the Raya Series on Saturday, (8/4/2023). Creativa Pro CEO and Hurremfia designer, Fia Prasetyahadi, said that Hurremfia’s Raya Series collection was dominated by broken white to symbolize the purified heart for Eid al-Fitr. “I chose broken white because it shows the ambiance of Eid, as we purify our hearts,” explained Fia.

For all her Raya Series products, Fia revealed that she uses three materials: tiles, satin, and brocade. The three fabrics blend and result in luxurious pieces of design.
