Jakarta, IO – The Health Ministry (Kemenkes) announced that 9.3 million doses of Covid-19 vaccine for second booster jabs will be available to the public starting January 24 without the need for an invitation or ticket.
“The stock is 7.2 million doses for the central government and 2.1 million doses for regional administrations,” said Health Ministry spokesperson Dr. Siti Nadia Tarmizi, reported Katadata.
The public is advised to get boosted to increase protection against the coronavirus especially new variants. The vaccine brands offered included 4,528,570 doses of IndoVac Merah Putih, 1,171,755 doses of InaVac Merah Putih, 3,344,772 doses of Pfizer, 189,684 doses of Zifivax, 138,185 doses of Janssen and 8,404 doses of Sinopharm.

The second booster jab is given within six months after the first booster. “People aged 18 and over can get the second booster without having to receive a ticket or invitation,” she said. (bp)
