Jakarta, IO – The full operation of the Cileunyi-Sumedang-Dawuan (“Cisumdawu”) Toll Road is planned for early July 2023.
Cisumdawu Toll Road is planned to span a total of 61.75 km divided into six parts. The freeway will connect Cileunyi with Dawuan, the access point to Kertajati Airport in Majalengka. Sections 4, 5, and 6 of the Toll Road started functional operation in 15 April-1 May 2023, as a means to reduce the load of traffic during the Eid holiday sason.
Cisumdawu Toll Road Section 1 was inaugurated earlier on 24 January 2022, with the Road’s Sections 2 and 3 functionally opened during the Christmas 2022/New Year 2023 Holidays and fees started to be imposed on 28 February 2023.
Triono Junoasmono, Director of the Ministry of Public Works and Housing Directorate General of Freeways, announced that the target completion of the Cisumdawu Toll Road construction and preparation is at the end of June 2023. “The progress is nearly 100% now. All construction is completed – we only need to clean up and finish up,” he said as quoted by bisnis.com, Monday (26/06/2023).

Triono went on to declare that the toll road will start imposing fees within two, three week of operations. “After the functional tests are completed, we will prepare the Operational Decree. We will issue the Fee Decree after that,” he said.
Coordinating Minister of the Economy Airlangga Hartarto previously inspected the progress of the Cisumdawu Toll Road construction personally, Friday (23/06/2023). “The Cisumdawu Toll Road will serve as an access to Kertajati Airport, which is a recently completed National Strategic Project. Other than the toll road, we have a number of other projects in place, including seven dams and several economic areas,” he said. (un)
