Jakarta, IO – 17 young dancers from the The Junior Company of Dutch National Ballet appeared in the “Ballet Bubbles” show at the Graha Bakti Budaya, Ismail Marzuki Park, Jakarta, on Friday (23/06/2023).

The young ballet talents, moving under the directions of their Artistic Director Ernst Meisner, performed a mix of the modern and traditional in “Ballet Bubbles”, an original modern work from Junior Company coreographers Wubkje Kuindersma, Joshua Junker, and Sedrig Verwoert. The piece was performed alongside the classic Pas de quatre piece of “Sleeping Beauty”, as well as modern classic “Blink”.

Established in 2013, the Junior Company is a bridge that allows young dancers to transition from the Netherlands National Ballet Academy into the Netherland National Ballet on graduation.
