Jakarta, IO – Singer Aimee Saras cried while listening to a recording of her song “Lara”. “The music is really crazy, piercing and breaking my heart. My manager had to come to the studio,” Aimee said, as quoted by Antara.

“When I heard the song, I had mixed feelings. Because of that there are tears, what happened in the past to make me cry like this? Apparently because there are pent up emotions, feelings that I often hold back”.

“So I always want to feel strong so that (emotions) finally came out triggered when I was recording”.

Collaborating with Adikara Fardy, “Lara” is a song about accepting self-vulnerabilities.

There is something different about Aimee’s work this time. If usually the songs are of the swing jazz genre, “Lara” carries a strong feel of a pop ballad.

“I deliberately chose a pop ballad. I started from musical theatre. In musical theater, there must be a ballad song that is completely different,” he said.

Aimee has appeared in several films, such as “Crazy Awesome Teacher”, “Bridezella”, “Pengabdi Setan 2 : Communion”, and “Mantan Manten”.

Aimee has also performed the soundtrack for the horror films “Pengabdi Setan (Satan’s Slaves)” and “Perempuan Tanah Jahanam (Women of the Land of Hell)”.

“I like to do acting and singing, but because at first I sing, I sing more,” he said.
