Jakarta, IO – That afternoon, a group of visitors at Pos Bloc seemed to have a relaxed discussion, with laptops on the table. The old building, which used to be a large post office, now known as the Philatelic Building, has indeed transformed into a creative space, especially for young people.
Kiki (28) and her friends were having a meeting there. She said she had visited the place — located on Jalan Pos, Number 2, Sawah Besar, Central Jakarta — several time with her colleagues as they enjoyed the relaxed ambience.
“It’s nice here. We can enjoy it. Moreover, the place is outdoor, cozy, and has many choices of food and drinks,” Kiki told Observerid.com.
During the Dutch colonial rule, the building was the Pasar Baru Post Office sitting atop an area of 7,000 square meters belonging to Pos Indonesia. This cultural heritage building is young people’s favourite to hang out, take pictures, to just having casual meetings.
