Jakarta, IO – Pasar Senen Train Station has become busier with the yearly Eid pilgrimage beginning. A few days toward the 2022 Eid, the long-distance trains are already starting to run busier than usual, Tuesday (4/26/2022). Head of Public Relations of PT KAI Daop 1 Jakarta Eva Chairunisa reported that as of today, there has been a significant increase in the number of passengers at Pasar Senen Station and Gambir Station. “There has been a higher increase of passengers compared to 1 or 2 days ago,” said Eva at Pasar Senen Station.
PT KAI Daop 1 Jakarta currently operates 28 trains passing through Pasar Senen Station on a daily basis. “Around 16,800 departing from Pasar Senen or 81 percent of the total available seats of 20,500,” said Eva. “Pasar Senen Station has 28 operating trains, of which two are additional trains,” she continued.

Eva continued to explain that since April 26, Daop 1 Jakarta train stations: Gambir, Pasar Senen, Bekasi, Cikarang, Karawang, Cikampek, Jakarta Kota, have sold and departed 306,600 seats since the Pre-Eid tickets began being sold from April 22 to May 1. “Seat occupancy is 85 percent of the total tickets provided: 361,800 and Pasar Senen Station contributed 200,900 tickets,” she detailed.
