Legal Medical Report

“Unsavory conduct”, including catcalling, dirty talking, or denigratory speech to a woman, is categorized as verbal and/or psychological violence. “If you suffer from such attacks in a public space, immediately call for help and/or leave the site at once. Injuries caused by physical violence are generally obvious and visible, while those of psychological violence are harder to detect. The condition is actually more dangerous, because it can result in long-term trauma, depression, and even suicidal tendencies. If you become aware of any case of such ‘invisible’ violence, get the victim to a psychologist or psychiatrist for treatment,” dr. Retno said. “Victim may also request a visum et repertum (legal medical report) from the health service provider when getting themselves treatment for violence-related injuries, mental or physical. If the victim is a legal adult, they can submit this visum to the courts as part of their legal complaint, as such a medical check report can serve as evidence in a legal hearing.”

Violence towards women has a long history over the millennia, and it is not right. Women are an important element of society. Without women, there will be no children. They are also caretakers of the house, the business, and the administration alongside men. Men are stronger than women and are born of women, so they should protect these weaker persons, instead of hurting them.

We should protect the women around us as we defend ourselves, as they properly deserve as human beings. We should all be pioneers and reporters who can cut the chain of violence towards women. (est)
