Jakarta, IO – The year 2024 presents a compelling film about a marriage betrayal that evokes emotions. “Suami yang Lain” (The Other Husband), which premiered in Indonesian cinemas on January 4, 2024, will take the audience through the tension and pain of a marriage.

The public has shown their enthusiasm since the end of 2023, when the film was introduced to the public. The audience’s eagerness to watch the film escalated as the premiere day approached.

Acha Septriasa, Morgan Oey, and Omar Daniel take on roles in this film, under the direction of John De Rantau.

The A-list stars in this film captivate the audience with their exceptional acting. The plot, screenplay, strong and complex characters, and surprising scenes create a thrilling experience for drama film lovers.

Executive Producer Mochammad Nur Wachid, or Denmaz Wachid, expressed his enthusiasm: “We believe that this film will provide an unforgettable story and experience for the audience.”

He is targeting 500 thousand viewers, as the film’s plot engages Indonesian drama film enthusiasts. The filming was done both in Japan and within the country, with each place taking around two weeks.

Denmaz Wachid deliberately portrayed the story of a woman’s affair from the woman’s point of view to illustrate another phenomenon, as in real life, husbands are not the only figures to have an affair; wives can also be engaged in infidelity.

“This story touches on the reality of Indonesian society. However, we are using a woman’s perspective to demonstrate the reality. The husbands are often accused of having affairs, while in fact, women do it too,” explained Wachid.

“We cast several actors and decided to give the roles to Acha Septriasa, Morgan Oey, Omar Daniel and Anya Geraldine for their distinctive acting and characters,” Wachid continued.

The audience will be left hanging with the film ending heading to an anti-climax. Wachid said, “We still have not decided whether or not this film will continue as a sequel or as a TV series. It is still confidential.”

Besides Acha, Morgan, Omar, and Anya, cast members involved in the film are Alex Abbad, Elvira Devinamira, Clara Angela, Rizky Hanggono, Samuel Rizal and Beddu Tohar. (dayat)
