The year was 1832. Lincoln had lost the election in the legislature. He managed to join the Regional Legislative Councils in 1834. In 1838 Lincoln was once again defeated in the election as the chairman of the Regional Legislative Councils. Another Lincoln misadventure in 1843 was when he failed to get into the legislature. His attempts finally resulted in winning in 1846, but soon to yield in 1848. In 1854 and 1858, he suffered defeat in his effort to be a Senator, and missed the party nomination in 1856.
Lincoln became the President of the USA in 1860, after 17 years of expending efforts to rule the highest power maelstrom of America.
Meanwhile, Reagan failed to be nominated by the party in 1968 and 1976. Reagan eventually managed to attain the presidential seat in 1980, after 12 years of attempting to become President.
The author reckons that 2024 will be the year of Prabowo’s winning the presidency. He has clearly stated his aims and targets in his speech on August 12, 2022, when he accepted his candidacy with Gerindra.
He stated that electing Prabowo would be equal to choosing togetherness. He wishes to compete and pair with another best candidate. He will continue all the ongoing Indonesian political innovations started by President Jokowi.
Although Prabowo will have to face Anies, Ganjar, or someone else in the 2024 Presidential Election, he will still be the safest choice for the voters. Prabowo would be wise enough to invite and cooperate with his competitors to build Indonesia.
