Jakarta, IO – Color Asia Live has once again surprised music enthusiasts by presenting a celebrated Mandarin musician, Michael Guang Liang. In collaboration with OCBC Indonesia, Color Asia Live will hold Michael’s “First Time” concert after over a decade of non-Mandarin concerts. “First Time” live concert will take place at JIExpo Theater, Jakarta, on Saturday, March 30, 2024.
Michael Guang Liang, better known as Michael Wong, is a Chinese pop singer born in 1970 in Ipoh, Malaysia, who began his career with Rock Records in a successful duo with Victor Wong. The duo disbanded in 2000, leaving both Michael and Victor to pursue their solo careers. Michael Guang Liang has successfully acted in Chinese films and dramas and released four solo albums, one of which is titled “Fairy Tale” (Tong Hua).
According to David Ananda, Managing Director of Color Asia Live, Michael Guang Liang previously performed a solo concert in the country in 2011. After over a decade, Michael Guang Liang will return to Indonesia for another solo concert.
This time, Desy Huang, Indonesia’s most popular Mandarin female singer, will be the opening act at Michael Guang Liang’s concert. “Not only that, Michael will bring his full live music band from Taiwan for the show, guaranteed to deliver a stunning performance for his Indonesian fans. Enthusiastic fans in Jakarta who have been anticipating seeing Michael’s concert are guaranteed to meet him in person and create new memories,” convinced David Ananda.
