Jakarta, IO – The Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) investigators searched the official residence of Agriculture Minister Syahrul Yasin Limpo in South Jakarta, Thursday (28/9) afternoon.
KPK spokesperson Ali Fikri said the search, which has lasted for 16 hours, is still underway as of Friday (29/9) morning, per Detikcom.
KPK stepped up its investigation after two officials from the ministry were named suspect. However, no further has been provided by the anti-graft agency.
“We cannot provide further details on outcome of the search as of yet,” said Ali.

Syahrul was reportedly still in Rome on an official visit to attend a forum, according to NasDem Party treasurer Ahmad Sahroni.
This was corroborated by Syahrul’s Instagram post. It is not yet known when he will return to Indonesia. (un)
