Jakarta, IO – Indonesian Foreign Minister Retno Marsudi met with her Dutch counterpart Hanke Bruins Slot in Jakarta, Tuesday (31/10).

They discussed many issues, including the stance of Indonesia and the Netherlands regarding the Israel-Hamas war. They also signed a cooperation plan of action (PoA) 2024-25, per Detikcom, Thursday (1/11).

“This PoA serves as a roadmap for the continuation of our partnership and collaboration,” said Retno.
On the Israel-Hamas war, Retno expressed her disappointment with the United Nations Security Council (UNSC) which has yet to take action on the conditions in Gaza. She firmly stated that Indonesia would not back down in supporting the Palestinian people’s struggle for freedom and justice.

“I cannot fathom why the UNSC has so far remained silent over the humanitarian situations [in Gaza],” she lambasted.
