Muzani revealed that through a semi-open simulation involving many names, Ganjar was chosen by 22.5 percent, a 2.3-point difference over Prabowo’s 20.2 percent. In the third place was East Java governor Khofifah Indar Parawansa with 10.6 percent.
The results also showed that there are three main reasons behind people’s choice of a presidential candidate. The most important one is caring attitude to small people, being firm, authoritative and clean of corruption, collusion and nepotism (KKN).
The survey was conducted between March 6-13. The respondents are residents of East Java who are eligible to vote. A sample of 1,200 people was taken using a multistage random sampling method with 2.9 percent margin of error and 95 percent confidence level. (un)
