Jakarta, IO – Foreign Minister Retno Marsudi revealed that her ministry will evacuate seven Indonesian citizens in Gaza in several stages.

Based on the latest data from the Foreign Ministry (Kemlu), there are currently 10 Indonesian citizens in Gaza, consisting of volunteers and their families, per Kompas, Thursday (2/11).

Three volunteers from Mer-C stated that they would remain in Gaza, thus Kemlu will only evacuate seven citizens. Retno also revealed that currently they are safe and sound.

She expected the evacuation to be carried out immediately, especially since communication between Kemlu and Indonesian citizens was hampered by communication access disruption recently.
