“In this Holy month, we are taught to have the awareness to control ourselves thoroughly, both by regulating eating habits to controlling emotions. This is why fasting is of immediate benefit to physical and mental health. Scientific research explains how fasting that is done regularly can control blood sugar levels, so as to reduce the risk of insulin resistance. Not only that: fasting regularly also provides rest time for the digestive system,” the clinical nutrition specialist stated.
