Jakarta, IO – Fujii Kaze, Japan’s rising music star, is taking his music to a higher level with his new concert, “Fujii Kaze and the piano Asia Tour 2023” – which will include Jakarta. With AEG Presents, PK Entertainment, and Sound Rhythm as promoters, he will be performing on Friday, 7 July 2023, at The Kasablanka Hall Jakarta. His uniquely Japanese combination of pop, rock, and R&B, as well as his unusual voice and lyrics, won the young artist fans across his nation and from around the world. 

Fujii Kaze made headlines with his two debut albums making Billboard Japan’s Hot Album Chart in succession. In May 2020, he released his fist album, Help Ever, Hurt Never. It is a brief statement of his life philosophy of helping people and never hurting anyone as much as he can. Other thanks make it to the Billboard Japan’s Hot Album; it also won many awards. Fujii himself was named YouTube Japan’s First Artist on The Rise for the year and he was selected into the Spotify global program, RADAR. 

In September 2021, Fujii presented his aspirations in the “Fujii Kaze ‘Free’ Live 2021” in Nissan Stadion, Yokohama. With the hope of releasing people’s minds through his music, he appeared alone on stage with his grand piano before 70,000 empty seats – in compliance with the Japanese health restrictions pertaining to the Covid-19 pandemic. It was broadcast live globally on YouTube, with 179,000 people watching from across the world. It became the trending Twitter topic at the time. 

In March 2022, Fujii released his second album, Love All, Serve All. Like the title of his debut album, it is also part of his personal life philosophy. The new album also made the top Billboard Japan’s Hot Album and won national awards, like its predecessor. 

In October 2022, Fujii held his first stadium-scaled concert, “Love All Serve All Stadium Live”, in the Panasonic Stadium Suita in Osaka. This time, he performed live for his audience and sold out 70,000 seats. It is also globally available to subscribers on Netflix. 

In July 2022, the single “Shi nu No Ga Ii-Wa” (“I Would Rather Die”) from his debut album went viral in Thailand. It peaked at #4 place in the Spotify Global Viral chart, became #1 in local platform viral charts in 23 countries, including Thailand, Indonesia, Vietnam, Korea, UK, France, Canada, Brazil, and Egypt, and peaked at #2 in the US. In Spotify’s Top Global Song Chart, it peaked at #57, while in the US Global 200 Billboard Chart it peaked at #118, even though it was initially released in 2020. In YouTube’s Top Global Song Chart, it lasted 12 weeks, peaking at #33.

Since then, “Shi nu No Ga Ii-Wa” remains popular across the world. A year after the phenomenon, Fujii Kaze is starting his international debut tour in Seoul, followed by Bangkok, Jakarta, Kuala Lumpur, Taipei, and Hong Kong.
