Jakarta, IO – Raya Music officially is to release the remake of Kris Dayanti (“KD”)’s single, “Mencintaimu” (“To Love You”), with The Orchard and Triyakom as distributors. Indonesian Master Composer Erwin Gutawa rearranged the music, and he also led the Czech Symphony Orchestra in the creation of a more grandiose, elegant, and colossal format of the song.

KD released her rendition of Bebi Romeo’s masterpiece 23 years ago. She sings it so well that it propelled her to an “Indonesian Diva” status. Along with the song, she is releasing a mini album, whose singles will be presented by Raya Music, with arrangement by Erwin Gutawa, contributions by his talented daughter Gita Gutawa, and accompaniment by no less than the Czech Symphony Orchestra.

Amid her packed schedule, the Diva shared with us snippets of her journey to her patiently waiting and intensely loyal fans. “Balancing my time between my family, my day job, and my musical career. I am committed to focusing on my job at the People’s Representative DPR on the weekdays, and concentrating on my beloved family and my passion of music, which has been my life’s breath for the past three decades, during the weekends,” she said.

As for the remake’s video clip, “…I cooperated with the same director who did the clip 23 years ago – Rizal Mantovani. Time flies so fast! It seems like it was just yesterday… When I contacted Rizal, he agreed to create the updated ‘Mencintaimu’ video,” KD enthused.

Officially released on digital music platforms last Friday, the new version of “Mencintaimu” is available in Spotify, Apple Music, Deezer, Amazon Music, Soundcloud, Tidal, Langit Music, and of course, on Indonesia’s radio stations. (des)
